President-elect Biden’s likely foreign policy: Tom Gross in discussion with Jamie Fly

WHAT MIGHT BIDEN’S FOREIGN POLICY LOOK LIKE? AND HOW WILL HISTORY JUDGE TRUMP?

What might Joe Biden’s foreign policy look like? And how will history judge Donald Trump’s international relations?

Will the Democratic Party’s ‘progressive’ wing manage to push the centrist Biden into more anti-Israel, pro-Iranian regime positions?

And will Trump still have an oversized influenced in the Republican Party which will prevent other senior Republicans from asserting control of the party?

Tom Gross and Jamie Fly also discuss US election demographics and how in the 2020 elections many Americans rejected the left’s obsession with identity politics, and gave Donald Trump the best result among Native Americans, African-Americans, Latinos, gays and other minorities than any Republican candidate since 1960 (while at the same time, Trump’s share of the vote among white men decreased).

[This zoom conversation was recorded a couple of hours after Joe Biden was declared by most people to be president-elect (although not yet by Trump) following this week’s US presidential elections.]

TRUMP DIDN’T INVADE ANY FOREIGN COUNTRY. WILL THE LEFT MISS HIM?

(Here is a one-minute extract from the above conversation.)

Tom Gross asks whether, far from being a “dictator,” “Fascist” or “warmonger,” as many left-wing journalists have described Donald Trump over the past four years, some on the left will find themselves looking back more fondly on Trump’s presidency once he is out of office.

Unlike most past US presidents, Trump didn't invade any foreign country, withdrew troops from what he termed “forever wars,” and was not comfortable ordering drone strikes and air strikes in which many civilians were bound to die, in the way that Barack Obama and past presidents were.
